Decent pizza. I can't say it's anything special but it's....well....pizza. The one thing that will deter me from buying from this place is the pathetic cash or check only policy. I understand that maybe some owners don't want to pay to have a credit card system, but a few nights ago I wanted pizza. I don't keep check on me, or do I have the cash this place was the only one nearby I recall being open, but since they only do cash or check, they didn't get my business. Why should I go out of the way to please their choices? This is 2013, we carry mostly credit and debit cards. I guess the owner thinks otherwise. Will never buy pizza here because of this. I'll take the same money I would have used on debit card and take my business elsewhere, such as ed n joes or Vito and nicks. They gladly accept my money, paper or plastic.

Very good pizza. It is one of our local favorites. Both the crust and the sauce are delicious. The pizza is super cheesy, just the way we like it. The only downfall of this place is that they do not take cards and we don't always have cash on hand.

My favorite pizza place in Tinley Park, but its probably the most expensive pizza place I've been too. This place has a great all around tasting pizza. Some of the best in the area. The high prices keeps me away as there is too many other pizza joints to choose from.
(4)Chuck A.
Extremely low cost, high quality pizza. They're not scared to stack on the toppings. They have coupons everywhere you look for buy one pizza, get one free. Well worth it.
(4)joshua k.
This place has the best pizza! They use a ton of whatever ingredients you pick out. My favorite is their thin crust sausage, green pepper, and onion pizza. I usually get that in a medium and it weighs a ton. Their prices aren't bad at all imo, especially if you have a coupon which are in the mail all the time. My wife doesn't like their pizza but then again she thinks pizza hut is awesome... It's a take out only restaurant but they deliver.

Since moving to AZ over 10 years ago, I haven't been here in years. Was visiting the parents and we wanted to try the place again. We ordered 1 medium sausage and 1 medium pepperoni pizza. Had BOGO free coupon. What a great deal! The sauce is very good, crust is tasty, and there is so much good cheese! Wow! The cheese! We were so full and very happy with our pizza. We will definitely be back!
(5)Daniel W.
The best pizza place in Tinley and surrounding area. From the moment you walk in, you know it is authentic pizza that is going to blow the competition out of the water. The pizza is so good that it is worth needing cash or check to pay!
(5)Jerry W.
Sorry to type this one out, but Village Pizza, at best is truly average. The service was very friendly but the large, $18 dollar cheese and sausage pizza was actually under average. The cheese seemed thick, almost hardish. Could it have been cooked longer, maybe? And in the year of 2014 to still be a cash only restaurant seemed quaint but out of step. Well at least my family and I gave this place a try.
(3)Brian H.
If you like lots of cheese on your pizza, this is the place for you. It's not my first choice for pizza in the area, but I'm never disappointed when I order.
(4)David B.
Best pizza in Tinley Park. Old-school "hole-in-the-wall" pizza joint. Price is right, staff friendly, pizza is great. No credit cards accepted so make sure you bring cash. Excellent - don't waste your time with any other pizza joint in Tinley.
(5)Dawn P.
Old-school thin-crust pizza with sauce that tastes home-made and is loaded with toppings. Will definately order from here again! Wish the menu was updated - asked for an 18" and was told the largest they make is a 16" though the menu listed here on Yelp does have 18" included. Wush they had their own website but they do have a Facebook pace will I just "liked". Glad I found this Tinley gem!

I blew into this town looking for the ultimate pizza experience. Being here on business, I told my associates that I was taking the night off to work. Haha yeah right. I looked at the reviews and the Gods of Pizza smiled down at me. Village Pizza delivered an exquisitely crafted pizza to my room. I'm from Los Angeles bro, we are not used to pizza like this. First, it arrived piping hot. Second, third, fourth, effing infinity it's off the chart. The crust is a perfect toasty combination of crisp and chewy. The cheese blanketed an amazing sauce and - check it out - I had them add gardiniera to half the pizza based on some blokes recommendation on Yelp. Just do it! I'm dead when my wife reads this review. Being alone in my hotel room with a Village Pizza might be grounds for divorce, but who cares? I'll try to only eat half, and when I awake in the middle of the night after rolling over onto the remote control, I'll eat the other half. Great freaking pizza and the guy who took my order on the phone was typically Chicago friendly. Dude knows his pizza!
(5)Eric L.
EXCELLENT EVERYTHING. Owners are super nice and easy to talk to. They always have great deals going on. I ordered a large Pepperoni and Sausage. They threw in a large cheese - FOR FREE. 2 large pizzas for $25 out the door. The pizza quality is top notch. Exactly how a pie is supposed to taste. Not too greasy or too saucy. Quality ingredients.

My husband and I live in California (I'm from here). This is our FAVORITE pizza place (has been mine since I was little), we get picked up from the airport and order village to be ready by the time we make it into Tinley. It's what we dream we're eating when we're eating any other pizza. There is no other pizza like it. We love it so much we served it at our wedding dinner rehearsal. When I like something this much I'm excited to run to the ATM to get cash ;) With that said, the crust is airy and just the right crispness, sauce is plentiful and flavorful, and the cheese is more than plentiful (if you don't like a lot of cheese perhaps order a hot sandwich off the menu). Finally this is one of the only places I still order sausage on my pizza because it's real sausage. And that's all I need on my pizza at Village cause it's so flavorful .
(5)Pauly S.
After I posted this, Donato, a manager reached out an apologized. Loved it! When a business does that, I proved they care for their customers...and don't just use Yelp! because it's great social marketing.
(4)Jeff S.
I love this pizza. We can feed our family of 5 for $20 with their bogo coupon. Seriously delicious pizza. Plenty of cheese & toppings, (think Beggars, only with quality ingredients) . Try it. You won't regret it. Just be sure you have cash or check; they don't take plastic money. (Another testament to their quality, imo) Carry out or speedy delivery; just a hole in the wall turning out delicious pizza.
(5)Tyler L.
We ordered the pizza with hot giardiniera and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely order from Village Pizza again. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't accept any charge cards.
(4)Rob J.
This place came highly recommended by people who swear by it and get pizza from here often. It's ok. Nothing special, nothing more and nothing less. I have had way worse pizza put definitely better (Beggars, Palermo's, Vito and Nicks, Aurelio's in Homewood). I know it's a mom and pop type place and the customer service was great but I agree with what others have said about this being "cash or check only" and the pizza being nothing special. This place along with Ed and Joes get high remarks and I am confused to why. I wonder if these folks that praise these places have eaten pizza anywhere else?
(3)Michael B.
Solid 'za, good ingredients, nice people. We ordered a few pies for my son's B-day party and everyone loved it. I will definitely come back. The Crust is not too thick or thin, great consistency, a tasty sauce with a hint of spice, not a sweet sauce. As for the people complaining about cash only, if you are reading this, now you know and you can hit an ATM on the way over. It's not like they are uncommon. Knowing how the credit card machine companies work, I don't blame them for staying away from that option. Keep up the good work! MJ
(4)Craig L.
Take out or delivery only. This place is something out of the 70s in terms of establishment and how much toppings they throw on here. Best value in town by far. The absolutely load the cheese on, unlike any place but maybe Beggar's. The people who work here are very friendly and appear to know some of the customers. Great service - they were late on my pizza and took a few bucks off and I did not complain so it was a bonus for me. They've earned my business.
(4)Lisa M.
I can't belive I'm the first person to rate this place! AWESOME pizza. Old school, been around forever. Cash only!
(4)Bj M.
We drove in an R.V from So Cal to Michigan and had to stop in our hometown of Tinley Park to get Village Pizza ......I kept thinking about it the whole trip and man was it worth it we got a XL deep dish sausage and mushroom and a thin crust the same way ,Its pizza perfection the sauce and the cheese and the dough its just amazing ! Living in So Cal we dont have pizza like this dont take this place for granted go there once a week .....the owner was totally cool too .Thanks Village Pizza !!!
(5)Josh N.
My favorite local pizza joint. I have been enjoying it for well over a decade. It is comparable to Beggars and much cheaper. They lay a ton of ingredients and I love the vintage feel if it all (no credit cards). It reminds me of my younger days when local businesses were more popular that terrible chain pizza.
(5)Mike M.
Lived in Tinley my whole life and just had my first village pizza. Very good thin crust. The crust was very good and would except many ingredients. The sauce was not very sweet which I prefer. Great ingredients! I'm glad they don't take CC
(4)Sam L.
I love this place. There pizza is really good. They have fresh ingredients, an amazing sauce and fast service. Their only downfall is they don't take debit/credit cards. It's 2014, get with it guys. I'd probably never go to Aurelio's again but cash only is stupid.
(4)Official R.
Due to a sudden pizza emergency, I ordered from Village Pizza. The staff was friendly, polite and welcoming. The pizza was hot and fresh with plenty of ingredients. No paper thin dried up burnt cheese like the other joint I just reviewed minutes ago. My neighbors said it was quite tasty and provided a nice filling meal for them! Will go here again - thanks Village Pizza!
(5)Amanda W.
Awesome pizza!! And really fast delivery! Had the perfect amount I Cheese and sauce, ingredients were really great!
